Life Science Research Poster Symposium- Fall 2024
Friday Dec 6th 12-2pm - Bessey Hall Atrium
Hosted by Biology, Genetics, Environmental Science and Bioinformatics and Computational Biology
Join us for a celebration of undergraduate research in the life sciences. This poster session is open to students of all majors that are conducting, or have recently completed, relevant life sciences research and internships.
Proposals Submission deadline: Friday Nov 15th
Please include:
- Student name
- Poster title
- Supervisor(s) name and affiliation (academic department at ISU or company)
- A brief abstract (up to 300 words)
Your abstract should include the following sections (whichever are applicable)
If your poster describes a research project:
- Research questions or hypothesis
- Theoretical framework underpinning the questions/hypothesis
- Aims of study
- Methods used to address the research question/hypothesis
- Results of the investigations
- Conclusions, applications, or implications
If your poster describes an internship:
- A description of the organization where you conducted the internship
- Your goals and motivation for choosing this internship
- Your duties during the internship
- Any interesting insights and results from the internship
